Deborah White of the Black Mountain Gaelic Society will be giving an introductory Scottish Gaelic workshop on Saturday, April 26, at 1:00 PM (time tentative). Her band, Distant Oaks will be performing twice on Saturday and twice on Sunday, featuring songs in both Irish and Scottish Gaelic, piping, harping, and Cape Breton style step-dancing.

Irish Language Events

In conjunction with the latest Irish class at the UICC, there will be a series of group activities open to both students and fluent speakers of Irish. The goals during these events are to have fun, learn a little something, and to use as much Irish as you can! Reservations are required, so contact John (415) 474-7272 as soon as possible.
